New analysis identifies the top ten areas where home building is set to surge.
The data from realestate.com.au is based on state and local government announcements about developments since the start of 2025.
The top spot is Greater Adelaide, where an additional 61,000 homes are forecast.
“Changes to South Australia’s Environment and Food Production Areas will unlock up to 61,000 new homes across Roseworthy, Two Wells, Murray Bridge, Victor Harbor and Goolwa,” it says.
North Perth is forecast for another 50,000 homes, particularly around the East Wanneroo development area, including Wanneroo, Gnangara, Mariginiup, Jandabup and Pinjar.
Broadmeadow, in NSW, is next with 20,000, followed by Burwood North in NSW and Beveridge in Northwest, Victoria, which are both forecast to receive another 15,000 homes.
Concordia in South Australia is forecast for an additional 12,000 homes, while both Woollahra in NSW and Greater Hobart are tipped for a further 10,000.
St Marys, in NSW, is tipped for another 9,300 homes and Redland City in Queensland rounds out the top ten with a forecast of 8000 additional homes.
